Automation & Integration

Automating dispatch and proof of delivery for a logistics operator

Challenge
A regional freight business coordinates jobs across spreadsheets, email and an ageing booking system. Dispatchers re-enter the same details several times a day, and customers phone in to chase delivery updates.
Approach
Map the job lifecycle from booking to invoice with dispatch and finance staff, identify every manual hand-off, and decide which steps suit no-code automation and which need a custom integration.
Solution
Bookings flow automatically from the web form and email into the job system, drivers capture proof of delivery in a mobile form, and status updates and invoices are triggered by webhooks. A live dashboard shows jobs, exceptions and delivery progress.

Technologies

  • Make
  • Webhooks
  • REST API
  • Node.js
  • PostgreSQL

Expected outcomes

  • Less double handling of job information
  • Customers updated automatically at each delivery stage
  • Invoices raised as soon as delivery is confirmed
  • Real-time visibility for dispatch managers

Generative AI Solutions

AI support assistant for an online retailer

Challenge
An online retailer's support inbox is dominated by order status, returns and sizing questions. Response times stretch during sales periods and staff spend their days on repetitive replies.
Approach
Review a sample of past enquiries to find the questions that can be answered safely, define clear escalation rules, and agree how answer quality will be evaluated before anything goes live.
Solution
An assistant on the website and help centre answers from the retailer's policies and product information, checks order status through the store's API, and passes complex or sensitive conversations to a team member with the full context attached.

Technologies

  • GPT APIs
  • LangChain
  • Next.js
  • Node.js
  • PostgreSQL

Expected outcomes

  • Common questions answered instantly, at any hour
  • Support staff focused on complex cases
  • Consistent answers drawn from approved content
  • Clear reporting on what customers ask most

Mobile App Development (iOS & Android)

Patient booking app for a multi-site clinic

Challenge
A group of allied health clinics takes most bookings by phone. Reception is overloaded at peak times, and missed appointments are costly for practitioners.
Approach
Workshops with practitioners and reception staff define booking rules, reminder preferences and privacy requirements. A cross-platform approach keeps one code base for iOS and Android.
Solution
A mobile app lets patients find a practitioner, book, reschedule and receive reminders, kept in sync with the clinic's practice management system. Staff manage availability from a simple web console.

Technologies

  • React Native
  • Node.js
  • Firebase
  • PostgreSQL
  • REST API

Expected outcomes

  • Fewer booking calls during peak periods
  • Reminders that help reduce missed appointments
  • Patients able to manage bookings at any time
  • App Store and Google Play releases handled end to end

Custom Software & Web Applications

Rebuilding a legacy SaaS platform for growth

Challenge
A software company's original platform has become slow to change. Releases are risky, onboarding new customers is manual, and new developers struggle to understand the code base.
Approach
An architecture review identifies what to keep, refactor or replace. The rebuild is staged module by module so existing customers are never left without service.
Solution
A modern multi-tenant platform with a typed API, automated tests and self-service onboarding, deployed through a CI/CD pipeline with feature flags so new capabilities can be released safely.

Technologies

  • Next.js
  • TypeScript
  • Node.js
  • PostgreSQL
  • Docker
  • AWS

Expected outcomes

  • Smaller, more frequent and lower-risk releases
  • Self-service onboarding for new customers
  • A code base new developers can pick up quickly
  • Room to add features without another rewrite

Reducing cloud spend for a growing data platform

Challenge
A data-heavy platform's monthly cloud bill has grown faster than its customer base, and nobody can say with confidence which services drive the cost.
Approach
A structured review of usage, architecture and billing data, with tagging to attribute spend to products and environments, followed by a prioritised list of changes ranked by saving and risk.
Solution
Right-sized compute, scheduled shutdown of non-production environments, storage lifecycle rules and containerised workloads on Kubernetes, with cost dashboards and budget alerts so spend stays visible.

Technologies

  • AWS
  • Kubernetes
  • Docker
  • Jenkins
  • Grafana

Expected outcomes

  • Cloud costs clearly attributed to products and teams
  • Lower monthly spend without reducing reliability
  • Budget alerts before overruns happen
  • A repeatable review process as the platform grows

Web3 Integration & Smart Contract Development

Smart contract escrow for a services marketplace

Challenge
A marketplace connecting businesses with contractors wants payments held securely until agreed milestones are met, with a record of each step that both parties can verify.
Approach
Define the milestone and dispute rules with the client's legal and product teams, keep the on-chain logic as small as possible, and schedule an independent security audit before launch.
Solution
An escrow smart contract releases funds when both parties confirm a milestone. It is integrated into the existing web app with wallet connection, plus an admin view for dispute handling and a full audit trail.

Technologies

  • Solidity
  • Hardhat
  • TypeScript
  • Next.js
  • Node.js

Expected outcomes

  • Transparent, tamper-evident payment records
  • Funds released only when milestones are confirmed
  • Web3 capability added without rebuilding the product
  • Security review built into the release plan
